How to Read a BaZi Chart

A beginner-friendly sequence for recognizing the four pillars, Day Master, element distribution, and relationships before attempting interpretation.

Start with structure before interpretation: identify the four pillars, locate the Day Master, note the stems and branches, then observe the Five Element distribution and relationships. A generated chart is data in a traditional symbolic system; interpretation adds another layer.

Where this fits in the system

The most useful way to learn BaZi is relationally: Four Pillarsstems and branchesDay MasterFive Elements. Avoid reducing a chart to one isolated symbol.

From learning to interpretation

If you understand the structure but want a guided interpretation, compare free tools with paid BaZi readings. Treat any reading as reflective/entertainment material rather than guaranteed forecasting.
